ONE DAY CRUISE TO MALI STAPAR ON THE BOAT “TATJANA”
The Great Bački Canal (GBC), also known as Kish’s Canal, is located in the central section of the Danube-Tisa-Danube canal system. Its upper stream links Sombor with the towns Bački Monoštor and Bezdan, representing a unique habitat for rare birds (such as the white-tailed eagle and the black stork) and species of plants (including the white water lily).
The boat “Tatjana” is designed for panoramic sailing and has a maximum capacity of 25 people.
During this trip we guarantee unforgettable moments and the ultimate relaxation and fun for our guests. On the boat we provide glassware and ashtrays as well as a selection of cold drinks for sale.
Safety is highly important to us, which is why we provide life vests and a dedicated crewmember in charge of safety while on board.
Cruise program:
10 AM departure from Sombor bathing resort Strand.
We sail through the willow area to the old Sombor ship locks, and then on to the junction of three canals before continuing our journey to Mali Stapar. During the voyage we educate our guests about the history, significance, trivia, flora and fauna of our “Euro Amazon”. We will then visit the merging of the Little Bački Canal (LBC) and the GBC, as well as the statue of the goddess Panonija.
12.10 PM arrival at Mali Stapar.
We then visit the unique ship locks and the old mill, followed by lunch at the wine house “Ačanski” (we recommend the fish stew 600 rsd). To accompany the good atmosphere we provide background music during the whole trip, and, if the guests prefer, we also offer live music on the boat
Return time to Sombor is negotiable.
