ONE DAY CRUISE ON THE BOAT “TATJANA” AND SIGHTSEEING OF BAČKI MONOŠTOR

Sightseeing cruise on the boat “Tatjana”.

The Great Bački Canal (GBC) is located in the central section of the "Gornje Podunavlje" (Upper Danube) special nature reserve. Its upper stream links Sombor with the towns Bački Monoštor and Bezdan representing a unique habitat for rare birds (such as the white-tailed eagle and the black stork) and species of plants (including the white water lily).

Cruise program:

Departure from Sombor bathing resort Strand (negotiable). The cruise lasts 2 hours and 30 minutes each way.

During the voyage we share interesting facts about the history, significance, trivia, flora and fauna of the GBC. To accompany the good atmosphere we provide background music during the whole trip, and, if the guests prefer, we also offer live music on the boat. “Periškić",

On arrival in Bački Monoštor we will take the horse drawn carriage (eco taxi) and visit the honey-making household “Periškić", “Mali Bodrog” (Little Bodrog) ethno house and the local church. At every location we provide relevant education as well as tasting of the bee products, home made juices and rakija (Serbian alcoholic drink). Afterwards we stop for lunch in the authentic ambiance of Kobina Čarda restaurant (menu can be prearranged in advance) on the very coast of the GBC.

Return time to Sombor is negotiable. On the way back we provide background or live music.
